Before follower counts, ask: does this creator's audience match my customer profile? A fitness brand partnering with a fashion creator might get views, but not buyers. Deep audience alignment is the foundation of a successful campaign.
A creator with 50K followers and a 6% engagement rate is worth more than one with 500K and 0.5% engagement. Always calculate: (likes + comments) / followers × 100. Anything above 3% for larger accounts is solid.
